The Museum Group is thrilled that two experienced, dynamic professionals are joining us this year.

Janeen Bryant of Charlotte NC is a community engagement advocate and catalyst for building organizational capacity. Formerly vice president of education at the Levine Museum of the New South, she developed and implemented a community focused Listening Sessions model used in projects including reinterpretation of Without Sanctuary, development of LGBTQ Perspectives on Equality and the Latino New South Project that ultimately became NUEVOlution. Janeen is a dialogue facilitator and trainer who designs curriculum and experiential learning activities to make social change history relevant and accessible to any learner.

Matt Kirchman is President of ObjectIDEA, a consultancy that guides institutions through the interpretive planning and exhibition development process; serves as an owner’s representative as museums engage the services of designers and architects; and collaborates with creative teams to identify design rationale and vision. He was one of two independent consultants invited by the American Alliance of Museums to assist the organization in identifying the benchmarks for interpretive planning that AAM may use to accredit its member institutions.  He serves on the board of the New England Museum Association, and is the Northeast Regional Representative for the National Association for Interpretation. He teaches in the Museum Studies program at Tufts University, and has provided editorial review for Exhibition Magazine. Matt is based in Salem, MA, and works with clients worldwide.
