As part of a national project on racial discrimination throughout the country, Susie Wilkening is fielding two phases of research that can benefit your museum:
1. Inclusive History Organizational Practice Survey
If you have historical collections, please take 15 – 20 minutes to share more information about your collections and programs, so that the history field can benchmark our current practice in 2018. You can access the survey, along with more information here.
2. Free Audience Research Opportunity for Your Museum
This fall, Susie will survey museum-goers across the country to begin to assess their attitudes around the relevance of history, meaning making, trust, current events, and sharing a more inclusive history. Up to 25 museums will be invited to participate in this phase of research at no cost. If you are interested, please complete the Inclusive History Organizational Practice Survey; the sign up is at the end of that survey.
This work is funded by and IMLS National Leadership Grant, and is being conducted on behalf of Naperville Heritage Society, with results being deposited at AASLH for future research
