My passion is for public service. I have worked in nonprofits since 1996, since 1999 in the history/museum field. It is the ideal environment for me to combine my enthusiasm for working for the greater good with my creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and problem-solving abilities.

I have found a home for all of these skills in the world of history organizations. My career in history began at the Orange County Regional History Center, a history organization that operated a museum, archive, and historical society. From 2007-2018, I served in a variety of leadership capacities at the American Association for State and Local History. I founded the Lyndhurst Group in 2016 out of a desire to serve institutions and the field more deeply.

The Lyndhurst Group is a history, museum, and nonprofit consulting firm providing community-focused engagement strategies for institutional planning, organizational assessments, and interpretive direction. Our work is guided by the historic mission of American museums; we are founded on the principle of serving our communities/publics through preservation of and access to history’s primary sources including archives, artifacts, and historic sites. Stakeholders form the basis of our work. They are the reason our institutions exist in the first place and the present and future of our institutions must include their voices.
